How is it different from other job seeking services?
Candidate Connect is not like a typical job board. We actually do a lot of the work for you by matching you with jobs and employers that suit your interest and desired employment preferences. With Candidate Connect, you will have the benefit of employers reaching out to you asking you to apply for their open positions.

Job Matches

Where are my job matches?
You can find your matches by clicking on the Job Matches link in the top navigation.
How am I matched to jobs?
You are matched to jobs based on your strengths, the industry you want to be in, the job functions you are interested in and where you want to work. The more we know about your strengths and interests, the better the matches will be.
How can I fine tune my job matches?
It's simple! From the expanded view of any job, click on the "Edit job preferences" link in the upper right. You will be able to edit your role type, your preferred employment locations and your preferred industries to help you refine your job matches.

Additionally, you can click the "Portfolio" link in the top navigation. Once you are on your portfolio, look for the "Job Preferences" box and fill it out.
How do I update my role type?
From the expanded view of any job, click on "Edit job preferences" link. You will be able to edit your role type, your preferred employment locations and your preferred industries to help you refine your job matches.
What are invites to apply from employers?
Invites to apply for a job are just that. The employer is reaching out to you because you have the strengths, background and experience they are interested in for a position.
How do I apply for a job?
From the Job Center, simply click the apply button, create or copy / paste your cover letter and upload or select from a previously uploaded resume to submit to the employer.

Applications

Where can I find all of the applications I have submitted on Candidate Connect?
From the Job Center, click on the Applications tab to view all of the applications you have submitted to employers.
Can I preview an application I submitted to an employer?
Sure you can! From the Applications tab, click on the View Application link to see the cover letter, resume and portfolio you submitted to an employer.
How do I create a PDF version of my resume?

Portfolio

What is the Portfolio?
The portfolio is your way to package your background and experience for employers to view along with your cover letter and resume.
Why should I fill it out?
Employers get loads of resumes and cover letters each day. By filling out your portfolio, you have one more way to present yourself to the employer.
What is the difference between public and private info in the portfolio?
Public information is shared with the employer. Private information is for your eyes only.

Account

How do I update my email address?
To update your email address, click the My Account link in the upper right. On the account page, click the edit link next to your email. Provide your new email and click the update button. Once you change your address, we will send you an email and ask you to validate your account. From the email, click the Confirm Email button. Please note that you will be unable to apply to jobs or receive invites until you confirm your email address.
How do I change my password?
To update your password, click the My Account link in the upper right. On the account page, click the edit link next to your password. Provide your new password and click the update button.
How do I adjust the emails sent from Experience and Experience partners?
To make adjustments to the emails you receive from Experience and Experience partners, click the My Account link in the upper right and the Notifications tab.
